PANews reported on March 15 that Sonic Labs co-founder Andre Cronje (AC) forwarded a recent interview summary on the X platform, in which he disclosed plans to launch an exchange within the year to compete with Coinbase and Binance. The exchange will be fully decentralized and provide as much leverage as possible.

Regarding Meme Coin, Andre Cronje said that the essence of Meme is the attention economy. Community coins are valuable and reward communities that have persisted despite years of difficulties, but Meme coins that may disappear in a few weeks are toxic.

Andre Cronje revealed that Sonic will soon launch a "fee subsidy" function and a "smart wallet". The former allows anyone (currently it should be a whitelist mode) to provide gas for other users, and the latter is a step further based on the "abstract wallet", supporting the use of any token as gas and various accounts to log in. In addition, Andre Cronje also said that he would not talk to any VC investor fund, as he believes that large market makers, large funds or VCs have no loyalty.
