PANews reported on March 17 that according to Robinhood's official announcement, its subsidiary Robinhood Derivatives, LLC (RHD) launched the Prediction Markets Hub in the Robinhood App today, allowing users to trade prediction contracts such as the Federal Reserve's interest rate cap in May and the NCAA basketball tournament. The service is provided through the KalshiEX exchange regulated by the CFTC. Robinhood has been in close communication with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to ensure compliance operations. Officials said that prediction markets play an important role in news, economy, politics and culture, and the new platform will enhance market liquidity, transparency and price discovery capabilities. The feature will be open to eligible U.S. users in the coming days.
