PANews reported on January 13 that the SlowMist security team issued a statement saying that the recent incident of actor Wang Xing being deceived to Myanmar has attracted widespread attention. The team investigated the chat record screenshots circulating on social media. The screenshots mentioned that Wang Xing had been "taken on board" and required to pay a guarantee fee of 14,000 USDT, with a cryptocurrency address attached. The SlowMist security team's investigation showed that the chat screenshots were forged and had no direct connection with Wang Xing's deception.
SlowMist analyzed the cryptocurrency address (TAiv3gxSGkf7x...gAB6FU4XV5HPn) in the screenshot. The address has received a total of 2.22 million USDT since September 2024, and the most recent transaction occurred on January 12, 2025. According to the timeline released by the Immigration Bureau of Tak Province, Thailand on January 7, Wang Xing entered Thailand at 3:16 a.m. on January 3, local time (UTC+7, Thailand time), left Suvarnabhumi Airport by car at 3:40 a.m., and then lost contact at around 11 a.m. After analyzing the transactions of the address before and after Wang Xing lost contact, no income transactions related to 14,000 USDT were found. Looking back at the original screenshot, the chat time was shown as 02:46, while the picture time was shown as 19:46. The time was inconsistent, further confirming that the screenshot was forged.
