PANews reported on November 9 that according to Newsweek, a CNN legal analyst hinted that US Vice President Harris might be nominated to the US Supreme Court. The report said that lawyer Bakari Sellers, who served as a Democratic member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for eight years, said that 70-year-old liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor could retire from the Supreme Court so that President Biden could nominate Harris. Harris served as San Francisco District Attorney and California Attorney General before being elected senator and then vice president. Although it is not common to elect a lawyer with no judicial experience to the Supreme Court, it is not unprecedented. Bakari Sellers believes that the move may be rushed before Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, takes office. He also said: "I think it's actually a good plan. I think it will happen."
