PANews reported on November 29th that Shanghai's first cross-border data service center in the central urban area was established in Jing'an District on the same day. Fan Xiaowei, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Cyberspace Administration, stated that the establishment of the Jing'an District Cross-border Data Service Center is another significant achievement in Shanghai's deepening reforms in the field of cross-border data flow. As an important extension of the "central-municipal-district" three-tiered cyberspace administration system, it fills the gap in "nearby services" for cross-border data in the central urban area and provides systematic institutional support for the compliant development of cross-border data for regional enterprises. The Shanghai Municipal Cyberspace Administration hopes that Jing'an District will continue to improve its cyberspace service capabilities and provide a model for exploring the construction of a district-level cyberspace administration system in a megacity.
