PANews reported on March 14 that according to Bitcoin News, hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger discovered a microcontroller vulnerability in Trezor's Safe 3 and 5 wallets, and Trezor quickly fixed the vulnerability. However, Ledger's Donjon team reported that despite the security improvements, there are still potential firmware bypass issues.
In response, Trezor said on the X platform: “We want to emphasize that our customers’ funds remain safe and no action is required. In addition, Trezor Safe 5 is not affected because it uses a newer microcontroller that is more resistant to similar attacks.”
