Fed's Williams: Still believes there is room for rate cuts in the near term

PANews reported on November 21 that, according to Jinshi News, Federal Reserve Chairman Williams stated that he still believes there is room for interest rate cuts in the near term; tariffs have pushed up prices, but he does not expect them to lead to sustained inflation; given the current slightly tight policy, the Fed can still cut interest rates in the near term; economic growth has slowed, and the labor market is gradually cooling; inflation progress has stalled, but it should be able to reach the 2% target by 2027.
