PANews reported on March 4 that David Sacks published an article on the X platform to refute the accusation that business people enter the government for profit, calling this statement "lazy and stupid." He said that entering government service often requires giving up original business interests, which has a significant impact on personal careers.
He questioned why long-serving U.S. officials were able to accumulate huge wealth, and specifically mentioned Nancy Pelosi's amazing stock picking ability, the former head of USAID who became a multi-millionaire, and why the area around Washington, D.C. is one of the wealthiest areas in the United States.
Sacks believes that all the billionaires he knows go into politics out of love for the country, and the real problem is corruption within the government system, and that the swamp must be drained to address this obvious systemic problem.
