Google bets on Gemini AI by 2025, aiming to reach 500 million monthly active users

PANews reported on December 30 that according to foreign media reports, Google clarified its core plan for 2025 at an internal strategic meeting and listed Gemini AI as a key development target. CEO Sundar Pichai said that Google plans to accelerate the expansion of Gemini, with the goal of becoming a Google product with more than 500 million active users in the 16th month. DeepMind co-founder Demis Hassabis revealed that Gemini will "develop on a large scale" in the next one or two years, achieve cross-device and multi-modal upgrades, and is committed to providing more powerful general AI assistant functions to help Google maintain its leading position in the fierce AI competition.

As reported last week, OpenAI said ChatGPT has exceeded 300 million weekly active users .
