PANews reported on February 7 that according to DL News, James Watt, a man from Indiana, was sentenced to three years of probation for forging about 30,000 fake ID cards. Court documents show that Watt worked for an unnamed website that claimed to be the "most trusted source of fake ID cards." In four years, Watt received 14 bitcoins (about $1.4 million) as compensation. When law enforcement searched his residence, they found a forged Missouri ID card with the holder being "Thor" and the address being "Big Hammer Way," showing his sophisticated counterfeiting skills. The U.S. Department of Justice has confiscated his illegal gains in accordance with a court order.
