Research shows SEC crypto enforcement increased during Gensler's tenure, but case count declined

PANews reported on January 26 that according to Bitcoin News, Cornerstone Research's research shows that the number of crypto enforcement cases under the leadership of Gary Gensler in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2024 will be 30% lower than in 2023. However, under Gensler's anti-fraud strategy, the total number of enforcement cases and fines far exceeded the level during Jay Clayton's tenure from 2017 to 2020.
