PANews reported on January 13 that according to Globenewswire, Matador Technologies Inc. (TSXV: MATA), a technology company headquartered in Toronto, Canada, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of approximately 29 bitcoins for a total purchase price of 4.5 million Canadian dollars in cash. The average purchase price of these bitcoins was US$96,341 per bitcoin, including fees and expenses. The acquisition is part of Matador's long-term strategy to use Bitcoin as the underlying asset of its funds and as a platform for its upcoming digital gold products.
