PANews reported on December 12 that according to official news, Lamina1, the metaverse project founded by Neal Stephenson, the author of Snow Crash, announced that it will merge with Another World. Another World is a Korean metaverse project that was originally established on the Kaia blockchain in 2022 and will become part of the Lamina1 ecosystem.

Lamina1’s parent company, Open Metaverse Limited, acquired Another World in an “all-token transaction,” according to a statement. Lamina1 plans to “migrate Another World’s community of more than 500,000 token holders, investors, metaverse builders, developers, and enthusiasts to the L1 ecosystem through token swaps and targeted onboarding to activate the community” in the coming weeks. Another World employees will join Lamina1 and work to “build the Lamina1 Hub platform.”
