PANews reported on March 3 that according to CoinDesk, Bitcoin mining company Core Scientific (NASDAQ: CORZ) announced the appointment of senior financial executive Jim Nygaard as its new chief financial officer (CFO). The appointment will officially take effect on March 17.
Nygaard has nearly 30 years of investment banking experience and has worked at XMS Capital Partners and Morgan Stanley. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and capital markets.
Current CFO Denise Sterling successfully drove the company through bankruptcy reorganization and raised more than $1 billion in funds during her tenure. She will remain in office until May 1 to ensure a smooth handover.
