PANews reported on March 7 that Eliezer Ndinga, head of strategy at 21Shares, wrote on the X platform that he believes the US government has two ways to increase its Bitcoin reserves. The first is to confiscate Bitcoins obtained through crime, such as the 174,000 Bitcoins in the Silk Road case, which does not require additional expenditures; the second is to re-use fines levied by cryptocurrency law enforcement agencies (such as the US Securities and Exchange Commission/Commodity Futures Trading Commission) to purchase Bitcoin.
Opinion: The United States can increase its reserves by "confiscating Bitcoin obtained from crime" and "buying Bitcoin with fines"
