PANews reported on February 21 that Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett wrote on the X platform that the legal professionals she had talked to believed that the SEC was trying to get crypto companies to settle rather than dismiss the lawsuits directly, in order to "justify" spending millions of taxpayers' money and save a little face. In addition, Hester Peirce and Mark Uyeda, two SEC commissioners, did tell Coinbase that they were sorry for the inconvenience, which was a real heavy blow to the enforcement system of the SEC under Gensler Gensler and Biden.
