PANews reported on May 14 that according to The Block, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioner Summer Mersinger will step down from her current position on May 30 and become CEO of the crypto industry lobbying organization Blockchain Association on June 2. During her tenure, Mersinger actively promoted the CFTC to work with the SEC to develop a regulatory framework for crypto assets.
