Security firm warns against new malware called Crocodilus that can steal Android users' crypto wallet keys

PANews reported on March 31 that according to BleepingComputer, researchers from the security company ThreatFabric said that the new malware Crocodilus can steal Android users' wallet mnemonics. The malware spreads through a proprietary driver and bypasses the security protection of Android 13 (and higher), and Play Protect is not triggered when users install the malware. The malware gives users a false warning through a screen overlay, saying "Back up the wallet mnemonics in the settings within 12 hours", otherwise they may lose access to their wallets.
