PANews reported on January 2 that according to on-chain analyst Ember’s monitoring, VIRTUAL broke through $5 today, with a market value of $5 billion. DeFiance Capital transferred 500,000 VIRTUAL (about $2.33 million) to Bybit 40 minutes ago.

DeFiance Capital is the lead investor of Virtuals Protocol. Through investment, it received 26.42 million VIRTUAL in December 2023. They started selling VIRTUAL in May 2024, and have sold a total of 7.2 million VIRTUAL so far, with an average price of $1.48: 2.2 million VIRTUAL were sold on the chain; 5 million VIRTUAL were transferred to Bybit. They still hold 19.22 million VIRTUAL (US$89.93 million). It is not clear how much the tokens DeFiance Capital obtained through investment cost (VIRTUAL opened at $0.01, which should not be higher than this number), but it is certain that this is a very successful investment.
