U.S. Justice Department asks court to extend stay of Trump tariff ruling

PANews reported on June 10 that according to Jinshi, the U.S. Department of Justice on Monday asked the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals to extend the stay of the tariff invalidation decision made by the lower court on May 28. The government said that the ruling undermined the president's ability to implement foreign policy. The Federal Circuit Court can now decide at any time whether to suspend the order during the appeal process, which may take months. The U.S. government also said that if the appeals court cancels the current suspension, it will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
