PANews reported on December 5 that the US defense technology company Anduril and OpenAI announced a strategic partnership to develop and deploy advanced artificial intelligence technologies to support national security missions. The two parties will combine OpenAI's cutting-edge AI models with Anduril's high-performance defense systems and Lattice software platform to enhance the real-time threat detection and response capabilities of the Counter-UAV System (CUAS).

The cooperation aims to enhance the defense capabilities of the U.S. military and its allies against air threats, optimize data processing, reduce operator burden, and improve situational awareness. Both sides emphasized that this move is not only to cope with technological competition, but also to ensure the safe and responsible use of AI technology in the field of national security, while defending freedom and democratic values.
