PANews reported on March 8 that Omer, a former director of the Avalanche Foundation, tweeted that he and three other directors, Aytunç Yildizli and Vikram Nagrani, had officially resigned from the board of directors of the foundation and its subsidiaries earlier this week. Aytunç ceased to perform executive functions on February 28, 2025, and since then the board has been on the sidelines, trying to find a way forward. "The decision to voluntarily resign was not made lightly, and it was very painful for us to have to do so. Considering our passion, dedication and commitment to Avalanche and its employees, and all the hard work we have done for the ecosystem and community since joining the foundation, this collective resignation is a difficult decision."
