PANews reported on February 7 that according to Bloomberg, former Yale University football player Bo Hines was appointed as the executive director of the White House Presidential Digital Asset Advisory Committee , responsible for building a bridge between the Trump administration and the crypto industry. Hines failed in his two previous runs for a seat in the U.S. Congress, and was later promoted to the government by the Trump team. He is currently under the leadership of David Sacks, director of artificial intelligence and crypto affairs.
Hines played football at North Carolina State University and Yale University, then entered Wake Forest University School of Law before entering politics. He ran for Congress twice in 2022 and 2024, both unsuccessfully, but was recognized for his loyalty to Trump. He also ran the right-wing media "Today is America" and worked with the crypto project Restore the Republic ($RTR), which once rose to a market value of $155 million due to rumors about Trump. Currently, Hines has participated in the formulation of the Trump administration's digital asset executive order and actively established connections with Washington politicians and the crypto industry during the inauguration.
