Liquid Capital Founder Sees Bitcoin Pullback Extending Toward $79,000

Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua, a prominent Chinese crypto investor, said Bitcoin has lost the $82,000 level and now faces its next support at $79,000. He argued that based on the pace of the past two days of declines, the current correction is not yet over and he leans toward price breaking below that level, after which he would watch the area near $75,000. Yi emphasized that the market remains in a bull trend and the pullback represents normal bull-market volatility.

Japan's Finance Ministry Outlines Three-Type Framework for Tokenized Government Bonds

Japan's Ministry of Finance held the first meeting of its government bond blockchain study group and presented a three-type framework for bringing Japanese government bonds on-chain. Type 1 involves circulating MMF beneficiary rights on blockchain; Type 2 places transfer ledgers on-chain under the existing settlement system across single-manager, multi-institution, and Bank of Japan-linked models; Type 3 would issue new-form government bonds on a blockchain outside the current framework. The ministry sees efficiency gains in collateral and liquidity management and broader investor access, especially for overseas investors, but flagged market fragmentation and system upgrade costs as challenges. A report is planned by January 2027.

The analysis noted that St. Louis Fed President Musalem said further tightening may be needed over the next six to nine months.
