PANews reported on June 1st that Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced on his personal channel that the native token of the TON ecosystem will be gradually renamed from "Toncoin (TON)" to "Gram". Gram was the original currency name designed in TON's earliest white paper, and this rebranding is officially defined as "returning to the original intention" and simultaneously ushering in a new stage of ecosystem development.

The official statement indicates that the renaming process is expected to last approximately three weeks, during which the token name, wallet display, and related ecosystem services will be gradually switched. TON will remain the blockchain network name and will not change. This renaming is the fourth step in the "Make TON Great Again (MTGA)" seven-step plan.
