The National Development and Reform Commission is promoting the application of AI in the field of bidding and tendering.

PANews reported on February 10th that the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued implementation opinions proposing to accelerate the promotion and application of artificial intelligence in the bidding and tendering field. The opinions clarify that, focusing on the entire transaction process and key management aspects, and adhering to the principles of government guidance, multi-party participation, and safety and controllability, the application of artificial intelligence technology will be promoted to improve the digitalization level of services and supervision. The goals include achieving full coverage of key scenarios such as tender document inspection, intelligent assisted bid evaluation, and collusion detection in some provinces and cities by the end of 2026, and promoting more key scenarios nationwide by the end of 2027, forming relevant experience and practices to help the bidding and tendering market develop in a standardized and healthy manner.
