PANews reported on February 17th that StarkWare is integrating Nightfall into its Starknet platform for confidential institutional transactions on public blockchain infrastructure. Nightfall is an open-source zero-knowledge privacy layer developed by Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms.
This allows institutions to use public blockchains for private B2B payments, fund transfers, and tokenized asset transfers without exposing sensitive transaction details. StarkWare stated that Nightfall supports transaction privacy by default, while also supporting selective disclosure and compliance requirements such as Know Your Customer (KYC), enabling the system to meet the needs of institutional users.
