Vitalik Buterin subsequently stated that if Anthropic adheres to its two red lines of "not developing fully autonomous weapons" and "not conducting mass surveillance of U.S. citizens," even if it faces consequences, its evaluation will be improved. He stated that fully autonomous weapons and mass privacy violations should be restricted, and he supports providing only general open-source model capabilities rather than additional support.
