Security agency: FOOMCASH suffers approximately $2.26 million in losses from copycat attacks.

PANews reported on February 26 that blockchain security firm BlockSec discovered that Base and its FOOMCASH contract on the Ethereum network were subjected to a copycat attack. The attack used the same method as the previous Veil Cash vulnerability, with attackers forging zkSNARK proofs due to incorrect verification key configuration, resulting in a total loss of approximately $ 2.26 million. A single attack transaction on Base caused approximately $ 427,000 in losses, while approximately $ 1.83 million worth of related transactions on Ethereum appear to have been part of a white-hat rescue operation.
