PANews reported on February 27th that OpenAI announced it has secured $110 billion in new investment at a valuation of $730 billion. The funding round includes $30 billion from SoftBank and $30 billion from Nvidia. SoftBank stated that its stake in OpenAI will be approximately 13% after the transaction. Microsoft stated that the new funding will not change its relationship with OpenAI. Furthermore, reports indicate that the OpenAI Foundation's stake in the OpenAI Group is now worth over $180 billion. OpenAI also stated that Trinium 4 is expected to begin shipping in 2027, and disclosed that ChatGPT has over 900 million weekly active users.
