PANews reported on March 13 that the cryptocurrency exchange Gate officially launched Gate Pay for AI, a native payment infrastructure built specifically for AI Agents. This product combines the x402 protocol with a blockchain-based programmable settlement mechanism, enabling AI Agents to automatically complete fee settlements for API calls, data services, and transaction execution without human intervention, truly bridging the entire automated business process from "transaction decision-making" to "autonomous payment" for AI.

In terms of technical architecture, Gate Pay for AI provides a standard MCP interface and Skills module, enabling integration with various AI Agent frameworks and combining with Gate Wallet and on-chain infrastructure to achieve autonomous payment capabilities. Currently, the system supports networks such as Base, Ethereum, and Gate Chain, as well as stablecoins like USDC. Going forward, the system will further cover more blockchain networks and asset types, continuously promoting the application of AI Agents in digital commerce.
