Fannie Mae to accept Bitcoin mortgage loans for the first time

PANews reported on March 26 that, according to the Wall Street Journal, Fannie Mae, a US mortgage lender, will accept cryptocurrency-backed mortgages for the first time. Mortgage company Better Home & Finance, in partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global, has launched a new mortgage product that allows homebuyers to use their Bitcoin and other crypto assets as collateral when applying for a Fannie Mae-backed mortgage, without having to sell cryptocurrency for a cash down payment.
