Ripple CEO warns against weaponizing crypto regulation, urging against "the next Gary Gensler moment".

PANews reported on March 27th, citing Fox Business, that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated in an interview with Mornings with Maria that the divisions and enforcement-style regulation among US regulators regarding crypto policies have created uncertainty for the industry. He noted that the SEC and CFTC are pushing for a new regulatory framework, and legislation such as the CLARITY Act under Congress is expected to establish clearer rules for crypto assets. Garlinghouse warned against a repeat of the regulatory environment under former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, emphasizing that Ripple's business is still growing amidst current market volatility, and calling for clear, predictable regulation to replace politicized and selective enforcement.
