PANews reported on March 31 that Interactive Brokers announced the opening of cryptocurrency trading to qualified individual investors in the European Economic Area through its Irish subsidiary. Users can trade 11 major crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin, alongside stocks, options, futures, forex, bonds, and funds on its existing platform. The service supports 24/7 trading, charging approximately 0.12%-0.18% commission on the trade volume, with no spreads, markups, or custody fees, and supports limit orders. Crypto trading is integrated with the regulated infrastructure provider ZeroHash, reaching a potential user market of approximately 450 million, and is compatible with a full suite of terminals including Trader Workstation, IBKR Desktop, and IBKR Mobile.
