A-shares closed higher: the ChiNext index rose 1.96%, with nearly 4,500 stocks rising across the market.

PANews reported on April 1st that, according to Jinshi, A-shares opened higher and continued to rise. At the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.46%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.7%, and the ChiNext Index rose 1.96%. The STAR Market 50 Index rose over 3%. The combined turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges reached 2.01 trillion yuan, an increase of 19.9 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day. On the sector front, the pharmaceutical sector surged, with companies like Aidi Pharmaceutical and Guang Sheng Tang hitting their 20% daily limit. The CPO concept also rose, with Zhilifang hitting its 20% daily limit. Retail, photovoltaic, hotel and catering, construction machinery, and semiconductor sectors also saw significant gains. On the downside, power stocks declined, with Guangxi Energy and Huadian Liaoneng among the many stocks hitting their daily limit down. Coal stocks fell, with Yunnan Coal Energy dropping nearly 7%. Seed industry and transportation equipment sectors also saw significant declines. Nearly 4,500 stocks rose across the entire market.
