PANews reported on April 3rd that, according to Decrypt, Naoris Protocol has officially launched its mainnet, claiming that its blockchain network uses the quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithm ML-DSA, approved by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to counter the threat of future quantum computers breaking current elliptic curve cryptography. The project's Chief Growth Officer stated that once an account is bound to a quantum-resistant key, the system will enforce an irreversible transition, and any transaction containing only an ECDSA signature will be rejected.
Bitcoin and Ethereum developers are currently exploring upgrading their protocols to migrate to quantum-resistant cryptography.
