PANews reported on April 3rd that, according to an official announcement, the decentralized email project Dmail Network will gradually cease all services starting May 15, 2026. Users must export their email content and apply to cancel their accounts before this date; all data will be completely deleted afterward. Dmail stated that due to factors such as the high cost of decentralized infrastructure, the failure of its commercialization path, the lack of practical use cases for its token, and the loss of core team members, the project could not achieve healthy and sustainable operation. The team had foreseen this outcome following the transformations of projects like Lens and Friend.tech.
Founded in 2021, Dmail was dedicated to providing a decentralized email service that protects privacy and is not controlled by a single entity.
