Peter Schiff questions Bitcoin's long-term performance, while Michael Saylor counters that the time frame is key.

PANews reported on April 5 that economist Peter Schiff published an article on the X platform stating that Bitcoin's gains over the past five years have been only about 12%, significantly lagging behind the Nasdaq (57.4%), S&P 500 (59.4%), gold (163%), and silver (181%). He questioned why investors should continue to hold Bitcoin if "superior long-term performance" is the core logic.

In response, Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, stated that assessing asset performance requires attention to the time frame. Since August 2020, Bitcoin has remained the strongest performing major asset with a significant advantage; if the time frame is extended further, its lead will continue to widen.
