PANews reported on April 10th that, according to Insider Gaming, several current and former employees have accused blockchain game company Gunzilla Games on LinkedIn of withholding months' worth of employee salaries. A recruitment manager stated that the company has been owing salaries for months, the CEO has ignored employee inquiries about salary information, and there is no clear payment schedule. The lead hard-surface artist stated that they have not received their August and September salaries. A senior QA engineer stated that they have not received their salary for five months; during a face-to-face meeting, the CEO promised to pay salaries and terminate the employment relationship, but subsequently revoked all access and did not pay. A retired senior VFX animator stated that they have not received any salary since October 2025. The company's free-to-play NFT battle royale game, *Off the Grid*, failed to reach its expected player count, and has undergone multiple rounds of layoffs over the past year due to financial difficulties. In early 2025, Gunzilla Games acquired Game Informer magazine and its original editorial team for an undisclosed amount.
