A plane carrying US personnel arrived in Pakistan, prompting security upgrades in Islamabad.

PANews reported on April 19th, citing Xinhua News Agency, that security has been tightened in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Some shops have closed, traffic is partially restricted, and security has been strengthened around several hotels. Pakistani sources indicated that three planes carrying US personnel landed at Nurhan Air Base that day. Currently, shops along the road connecting Islamabad and Nurhan Air Base are closed, and military and police security forces have been increased around several major hotels in the city. Meanwhile, the Serena Hotel, where the previous round of US-Iran negotiations took place, and the nearby Marriott Hotel have notified their guests to check out that day.
