Some shops have closed, traffic is partially restricted, and security has been strengthened around several hotels. Pakistani sources indicated that three planes carrying US personnel landed at Nurhan Air Base that day. Currently, shops along the road connecting Islamabad and Nurhan Air Base are closed, and military and police security forces have been increased around several major hotels in the city. Meanwhile, the Serena Hotel, where the previous round of US-Iran negotiations took place, and the nearby Marriott Hotel have notified their guests to check out that day.
