China will implement zero tariffs on some African countries with which it has diplomatic relations.

PANews reported on April 28 that, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, the State Council Tariff Commission announced that from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2028, zero tariffs will be implemented on 20 African countries that have established diplomatic relations with China and are not among the least developed countries. The specific list of countries and relevant tariff rates are detailed in the attached "List of Countries and Tariff Rates".
