PANews reported on April 29th that the Bitcoin lending protocol Tropykus announced on its X platform that due to its technical architecture's inability to meet future security standards, Tropykus will begin a phased shutdown process for its current version. Users must repay loans and withdraw funds by July 27, 2026, after which front-end support will cease, and operating smart contracts requires technical knowledge. Smart contract withdrawals are now open, while deposits and loans are permanently suspended.
Tropykus has announced the phase-out of the current version, with frontend support ending after July 27th.
