PANews reported on May 5th that, according to Jinshi, the US trade deficit in March was $60.3 billion, compared to a forecast of $60.9 billion and a revised previous figure of $57.8 billion (originally reported as $57.3 billion). Following the release of the US trade data, spot gold and the US dollar index (DXY) showed little short-term volatility.
