PANews reported on May 6th that, according to Decrypt, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is facing a class-action lawsuit over the Solana meme token MOTHER, with investors accusing him of exaggerating the token's true utility and business integrations. The lawsuit alleges that Azalea promoted MOTHER as being used in ecosystems such as the Motherland casino, Unreal Mobile phone services, and the DreamVault marketplace, but these integrations failed to materialize or function as promised. The MOTHER token has fallen more than 99% from its peak of approximately $0.23. The plaintiffs are seeking damages from affected investors, including statutory damages and potential treble damages. The lawsuit was filed by Burwick Law, the same firm that previously sued Hailey Welch, the "Hawk Tuah" girl, and her meme token project.
