Cardano founder criticizes Section 604 of the Clarity Act as potentially hindering open-source innovation.

PANews reported on May 13th, citing CoinDesk, that Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, when discussing the removal of Section 604 from the CLARITY Act, stated that this clause could lead to open-source developers facing long-term legal liability for others using their code. He pointed out that even if someone subsequently misuses the code without consent after a developer releases open-source software, the developer could still be "permanently held accountable," which he said would pose a serious threat to the open-source innovation environment.
