Cursor releases Composer 2.5, which it calls its "most powerful model to date."

PANews reported on May 19th that AI startup Cursor announced the release of Composer 2.5 on its X platform, calling it its "most powerful model to date." Cursor states that the Composer 2.5 model is smarter, better at handling long-running tasks, more reliably follows complex instructions, and is 10 times more efficient than comparable models. This model, like Composer 2, is based on the same open-source foundation, Moonshot's Kimi K2.5. Cursor is collaborating with SpaceX AI to train a larger model from scratch, using 10 times the total computation, leveraging the equivalent computing power of Colossus 2's million H100 chips and the combined data and training techniques from both companies. The usage quota for this model will double in the coming week.
