Claude Code launches Fast Mode research preview, supporting lower latency code interaction.

PANews reported on May 19th that, according to Claude Code Docs, Anthropic has launched a research preview of Fast Mode for Claude Code, offering lower latency at a higher cost on Opus 4.7 and 4.6 models. Users can enable it by typing "/fast," with pricing at $30 per input and $150 per million output tokens, requiring pay-as-you-go credit to be enabled. This mode is primarily designed for high-interaction scenarios such as rapid code iteration and real-time debugging, and is not suitable for batch processing or cost-sensitive tasks. This feature is disabled by default for Team and Enterprise accounts and must be manually enabled by the administrator; when the independent rate limit is reached, the system will automatically revert to standard mode.
