Fanatics partners with Amex to launch a co-branded credit card, strengthening the one-stop sports ecosystem.

PANews reported on May 20th that, according to Bloomberg, Fanatics will launch a co-branded credit card with American Express, scheduled for release later this year. Cardholders will receive access to Fanatics' digital currency, FanCash, as well as other benefits and viewing experiences offered by American Express. Amex will also become Fanatics' official payment partner. This move is part of Fanatics' strategy to create a "one-stop" consumption platform for sports fans, and it has recently expanded its partnerships with the NFL, AT&T, and FIFA. American Express continues to invest heavily in the sports sector, having already partnered with the NFL for payments and planning to issue an NFL Extra Points co-branded credit card. It will also become one of the sponsors of Fanatics' annual event, Fanatics Fest.
