PANews reported on May 20th that, according to TechCrunch, Trump Mobile, a brand associated with President Trump, has been exposed for leaking user data, including sensitive information such as mailing addresses and email addresses. YouTubers Coffeezilla and penguinz0 stated that their order information for Trump Mobile T1 phones has been leaked online. Researchers confirmed the data breach by retrieving their personal information, but multiple attempts to contact Trump Mobile have gone unanswered. The two stated that, to prevent further exploitation of the vulnerability, they have not yet disclosed the specific methods of exploitation. Based on the unique IDs in the leaked data, it is estimated that approximately 30,000 users actually ordered the T1 phone, far lower than the previously estimated 590,000 pre-orders. Trump Mobile has not yet publicly responded to this matter.
