Fantasy.top announced it will cease operations at the end of June, stating that "the TCG model is no longer economically viable."

PANews reported on May 21 that on-chain trading card platform Fantasy.top announced its closure at the end of June after two years of operation. The team stated that the long-term economics of the TCG model ultimately revealed its limitations, with insufficient trading volume to sustain long-term operations. Over the past year, the team explored various social vertical products, including prediction markets, mindshare tracking, and social graph betting, but none achieved lasting market fit. All investors will receive a full refund. The main Fantasy competition will continue until June 18, until all remaining rewards are distributed. Prediction markets, prize pools, arenas, and other games will close on May 21.

In December 2014, it was previously reported that Fantasy.Top had completed a $4.25 million seed round of financing, led by Dragonfly .
